My Tangles

Over the years I have tried a number of times to come up with a new tangle. I saw a pattern  and became enthousiastic about it.  In a church, in a window, on a floor or wall: patterns are everywhere. Just two of all the attempts to design a new tangle have made my rather perfectionistic character.

Below you can find my  tangles. Enjoy and please let me know what you think and made with this tangles.

New Tangle: BLOIS

ZENDOODLE NIKKIWOENSDAG 1 MAART 2017·

Last year on holiday in France I saw a painted wall in a little chapel. The same evening I tried to make a tangle inspired by that wall. Not easy, but after a few attempts I was satisfied. I used it several times and would like it, whem it inspires other zentangle-lovers to use it on a tile.

New Tangle: Xanten

Zendoodle Nikki – 16 oktober 2017

Tonight I tried to turn the floor of the Roman Bathhouse in Xanten (Germany) into a tangle. Nice to turn a geometric floordesign in black and white into understandable lines.
I’m curious what you think of it.
(Maybe the pattern already exists, but I haven’t found it yet).

More information:
For the large monotanglel I used a ruler to measure the grid, but all the other lines are drawn by hand.

At the step-out all is done by hand. As a make-up artist I have a fairly steady hand when needed.?
There was of course no shadow on the original floor, but I added it because the boxes get even more depth. No idea I did the right shadows.
